Black Lagoon: Revy and Dutch

The Lagoon company is a rainbow coalition of piracy: a Chinese-American gunslinger (Revy, on the left), an African-American team leader (Dutch, on the right), a Jewish-American computer expert (Benny), and a Japanese salaryman (Rock), with a female ex-Soviet officer as their patron (Balalaika). For those who want to make ethnic jokes around the Lagoon company, be warned that they don't solve their grievances with lawyers and sensitivity training for those who stick their foot in their mouth.

Just ask the group of Neo-Nazis that tangle with Lagoon company over a painting inside a sunken Nazi U-boat. We get the comedy of Dutch and Benny being amused by the sing-along aboard the Nazi vessel. But as soon as Revy and Dutch hit the boat, the comedy turns dark.

Dutch has to play good cop to Revy's bad cop with the ship's crew unaffiliated with the Nazis. We get the jaw-droppingly racist exchange between the Nazi leader and Dutch (BL never promised to be politically correct!). We get Revy and Dutch's cruel but damned funny bet with the Nazi leader and the empty gun. And how Revy's cool gun ballet scenes are even more fun to watch when it's Neo-Nazis she's shooting. Enjoy!
