Blue Seed: Kome's Makeover

In episode 4 of Blue Seed, the relationship between Momiji and Kome gets off on the wrong foot. Momiji cleans Kome's locker, including her collection of big guns, without her permission. Then Kome gets stuck babysitting Momiji, who is from the country town of Izumi, as she runs about the big city of Tokyo. Kome objects to Momiji's helplessness and clumsiness, and the rough-and-tumble Kome is irritated by Momiji's girly, neat-freak persona. Momiji even gives Kome a red bow for a hair decoration, which seems utterly foreign to her usual outfit of coveralls, boots, and a head band.

However, Kome soon learns of Momiji's usefulness as an advance detector of the monster Aragami, and thanks to Momiji, Kome is able to protect her until the rest of the team can rescue both of them. As a sort of acceptance, we get this image of Kome wearing the bow Momiji gave her.

My previous piece on Rion of Agent Aika shows a makeover that succeeds. This one for Kome--not so much! Still, enjoy this poster before the "What Not to Wear" team of Stacey and Clinton comes to her place for a drab-to-fab makeover.
